A Waste of Money?

In the dorm that I stay in, the security guards are from my country, Indonesia. When I saw one this morning, we had a brief conversation. She said, “Your going to school here (in Malaysia) is a waste of money!”
I was taken aback for a moment, but not for long. Confidently, I replied, “Nope, it isn’t. Because I work hard so I deserve it.”
We both smiled, satisfied with my answer. Let’s all hope that I stay true until the end.
